Lee studied with Read My Hips (directed by Stephanie Barto) and has taken classes by internationally known instructors. He currently perform weekly and study and dance with Joel Hall Dancers, Raks Geek, and freelances.

Lee has proven himself internationally as well as locally in the Chicago area. He is helping to shape a new perspective of belly dance through his tireless efforts in choreographies and performances.

He can be seen in Taproot's (Victory Records) music video "Release Me." In October 2010, he won the Chicago Oriental Dance Competition and as a result won a trip to perform with Mario Kirlis in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

He was invited to Spain in March of 2013 to perform and teach at the 7th International Oriental Festival in Valladolid.

In 2016-2017, he toured with Bellydance Evolution in the production of Scheherazade in Morocco, Hanover, and Prague - as well as in their Alice in Wonderland production nationally.

His performances combine the vibrant art of belly dance with contemporary dance, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, among many other styles. Lee tries to honor it with his sincere sense of creativity. With his physicality and emotion, Lee is reinventing this breathtaking art form into his own style and voice.

"I'm not interested in imitating the past. I'm interested in having the dance have meaning for us today and for the future. Experimentation is not just about being new; [but] about finding new paths and possibilities for survival and life itself. [Not saying forget the tradition, but] let's push and pull, and bend and break these movements a little bit more. [Such as] Instead of using traditional music, let's use pop music. [Experiment with music as well as dance]... Art has no border... art is something... that won't be confined. It's borderless and will ever continue to evolve." - Channel NewsAsia
